Assessment at COCC

Assessment at COCC is intended to inform planning and decision-making, and provide evidence on the quality of learning, teaching and service the college supports and provides.

At COCC, assessment responsibilities are distributed among the various departments and programs with the intent that the same guiding principles are applied:

• We should articulate our intended outcomes at all levels across the institution
• We should measure our progress, for example impact on student learning
• We should use result to guide decision making and to support continuous improvement

COCC's Assessment Web was launched fall 2008 with the purpose of assiting the College organize and promote assessment efforts.  As assessment activity evolves and proliferates, so too will the web page.
